I've loved horses for as long as I can remember, and Mustangs have always been one of my favorite breeds. I am particularly fond of Kiger Mustangs, the breed that Spirit's character is based on. Needless to say, I was quite excited when I first found out about this movie. I was even more excited when I found out that the main character (Spirit) would be based on a beautiful Kiger stallion by the name of Donner, who was sired by the gorgeous foundation Kiger stallion, Steens Kiger. There was no way I couldn't absolutely fall in love with this movie - it quickly became one of my all time favorite animated films.
